PEPPER MINT PLANT
Pepper Mint is an aromatic and useful Ayurvedic herbal medicine. Vitamin A is available in abundance in it. It has great capacity to increase or enhance the immune system and is full of antioxidants. It also helps in production of digestive enzymes. Its botanical name is Mentha piperita.

PEPPER MINT OIL-
The oil is produced from its seeds.
The oil has characteristics of Anaesthetic, pain relief, insecticides and works as mosquito repellent.
D0SAGE-
1 . Juice of fresh mint leaves can be taken ( 5g – 20g) in a day
2 . The leaves powder can be taken ( 3g- 6g) in a day
3 . Mint Kadha ( 10g- 40g)
4 . Mint Arka (10g- 40g)
5 . Mint oil ( 1 drop- 3 drops)

PEPPER MINT OIL
USES OF PEPPER MINT IN AYURVEDA:-
1 . Malaria
Kadha of mint and Tulsi leaves
Or,
Juice of mint and Ginger
It can be taken one teaspoon twice a day
2 . Gastric and worms problems
Two tea spoons of fresh mint leaves with black salt .
It destroys worms in stomach and relax in gastric problems
3 . Old cough and cold and Pneumonia
2-3 drops of fresh mint leaves juice can be poured into the nose.
Or,
Juice of mint leaves+ Juice of Ginger + Honey
Can be taken two teaspoons in twice a day
4 . Scanty /Less menstrual cycle and absence of menstrual cycle
Kadha of mint + Jaggery pinch of Asafoetida
-Removes Vayu dosha and Kaph doshas
– works as pain relief in waist/ back pain
5 .. Intestinal pain
Fresh Juice of mint with honey can be taken
Or,
Pudina ark can also be taken.
This helps in reducing Indigestion, loss of appetite, digestive problems, increases weak or slow digestive fires etc.
6 . Scar marks
Mint juice with lemon can be applied on the scar marks. It reduces spots.
7 . Vomiting, Dehydration, Cholera
Fresh juice of mint+ Lemon juice+ Ginger juice+ Honey
Or,
Mint Arka can be given
8 . Scorpion bite/ poison of Scorpion
Mint juice can be applied to the scorpion bite. And Thread mishri with Mint juice is given to the person.
This Remedy can be used for any type of bite of poisonous/ organisms.
9 . Hysteria
Fresh warm Mint juice can be given to the person twice a day.
10 . Mouth smell
Mix some water in mint juice and keep your mouth shut for a few minutes. Then throw this water from the mouth.
Or,
Kadha of mint can also be kept in the mouth for sometime then spit.
Through these processes the bad smell of the mouth will go away.
There are varieties of mint but in Bharat mostly pepper mint is used.
USES OF PEPPER MINT:-
1 . It is used in making Aam panna especially in summer.
2 . Used as Chutney, Biryani and taste enhancers
3 . Due to its cooling properties it is used in summer during heat strokes.
4 . Helps in maintaining blood pressure but should consume moderately.
How to grow?
It is very easy to grow at home. It can grow in a pot. One steam of a mint is planted in a pot and after some time the pot will be filled with pepper Mint. It can be grown easily by vegetative propagation method.
It doesn’t need much care.
